Most people think the biggest value
of exhibiting at a trade show is meeting new business contacts --- and
this certainly is valuable. However, I find the biggest value comes
from consistently exhibiting show after show as many of the same people
attend and see our booth. These attendees stop to exchange a "howdy-do"
and then move on when they don’t have need for our lead generation
services. However, when they have a need, they seek me out as I have
built credibility in their eyes, in that they know I’m not here today
and gone tomorrow.
Although I have many examples of this value, the most fun one is when at an UpSwing event I saw a man quickly walking down our aisle, not looking at any booths along the way. When he arrived at our booth he stopped abruptly and said, "I forgot your name and company name but I knew you'd be here so I came tonight as I need your services." know how much I appreciate the UpSwing Business Expo events. Seven
years ago I attended my first Upswing Expo and was
immediately impressed. UpSwing Expo is a networking event where you
feel comfortable and right at home, because everyone is ready
and willing to speak to strangers…networking at its finest.
Later my company started exhibiting at the Upswing Expo events. The first time we exhibited, we left with prospects that turned into clients…just what I needed. During our subsequent participations, attendees told us that we are always at the event which reflects on our success. They elected to do business with us…just because we are steady and always attend. Again, just what I want to hear as a business owner. UpSwing Business Expo has been so successful for us that we became a Bronze event sponsor 4 years ago! When I meet prospects, they always tell me that they have seen my logo and company name somewhere. And I know they are right because Upswing Expo promotes their sponsors everywhere. The logo placement contributes to trust in Webb Lake Software. Again, just what I need.
